[after his conversation with sam, august plants a spell on billy's door. easy to miss, as the small eye is scorched into the corner of the lower left corner, but once noticed, impossible to ignore. possibly even bothersome– a creeping feeling that the eye is following billy and only billy, guests ignored. the spell can be broken by pouring water and salt over it, or in more extreme measures, replacing the door. any attempt at carving the scorch mark away will reveal a continuous deep burn into the door, like the wood was made with the mark there.]
